I want to be as persistent in writing as God is teaching me to bein prayer. So post is coming at you a little later this week due to a several-day excursion to Spokane, Washington for my daughter’s volleyball tournament. But I haven’t stopped writing. In fact, I’ve got a devotional up at devoteableapp.com today on prayer.
Building on the lessons I learned on vacation over spring break,
– by slowing down, being more faithful, praying scripture and even using some liturgical prayers. I’d love if you would click on over to devotableapp.com and read my thoughts on being…

I love Spokane in the spring :). I also believe in the power of persistent prayer–not necessarily because it helps me ‘get what I want,’ but it helps me ‘want what I get.’
Lauren says
Good point, Anita.
Sandy says
Thank you for this! Being persistent in prayer has led to many answered prayers in my life! So thankful for that!
Lauren says
I’m so grateful, Sandy!

Hey Lauren, going to head over and read the devotion. We so underestimate the power of prayer to change things, people, and us! Looking forward to the rest. Tweeted and pinned.
Lauren says
Thanks so much, Karen.

It’s so ironic, prayer is probably the most powerful yet least utilized tool in our Christian toolbelt. Thanks for linking up at InstaEncouragements!
Lauren says
I think you are right.

for some reason, I can’t find your devotional over there. ??
Lauren says
You have to click on the title in my blog and not just the site name as its past the publish date now. Sorry. I should have made that distinction.

Hi Lauren – lovely to see the lessons you’re learning and that you’re appreciating the importance of prayer and making it a focus in your life. The more we pray and engage with God, the more blessings we see in our lives – it opens our eyes to all the good around us, and that God is in control of everything – so even the bad stuff will pass and has a purpose.
Lauren says
So true, Leanne.
Rebecca Jones says
Praying without ceasing, do we do that? I have to rely on Him.
Lauren says
Agreed!
