Light and Momentary Troubles
If you profess to believing in Jesus and have been for any length of time, you no doubt know the term “light and momentary troubles”. Maybe you even felt shamed or bullied by someone using 2 Corinthians 4:17 – the Bible verse containing this phrase.

Loved your analogy from light and momentary troubles seeming like sprinklers. I’ve been surprised-drowned a time or too myself. Yet it’s true eternity will make it seem like a blink.Thank God when we cry out to Him, He helps us hang on.

I’m not religious, but when I read “Light and momentary troubles,” I interpreted as a reminder that in the big scheme of things most problems are not that significant. It’s a way to help someone get unstuck from the mental mire in which she may find herself. I didn’t take it as a way to admonish someone.
