The news of war breaking out in Europe has driven me to my knees to pray for a country and people I do not know. I don’t pretend to understand every thing that is going on, but I do understand that people are uncertain and afraid. On Sunday our pastor used Psalm 46 in praying for Ukraine and its people, and now I am doing the same.
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea…He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth.” Psalms 46:1-2, 9 NIV
There are so many things that I don’t know how to pray about. But the Holy Spirit can translate my groanings. But this I will pray:
