Praying God’s Word Wednesday #5

May 5, 2021 by Lauren 12 Comments

The middle of the week is here and I’m ready to share scripture and prayer with you.  A couple of months ago I shared with you that my word for the year is TRUST.  God gave me Romans 15:13 NIV to memorize and meditate on when anxiety and fear overwhelm me.  Since I am constantly praying it over myself, I prayed it over some loved ones recently as well.

The verse:

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

An example of how to pray this passage:

Replace the pronouns with the appropriate ones for the person (or yourself) that you are praying for.

Praying for you in this.  And don’t forget to share this on social media or with a friend who could benefit.  It would mean so much to me.  And if you don’t want to miss a Praying God’s Word Wednesday, subscribe over on the right hand side of this page.

A beautiful prayer, and so helpful to be able to drop in someone’s name, thank you!

Lauren, this is such a wonderful verse to pray for ourselves, and our loved ones. He Himself fills us with an overflowing hope.

This is a perfectly timely prayer, Lauren, as we can all use a little bit more hope these days! Hope, peace, and joy are like my daily goals! Thanks for sharing and linking with me, my friend.

About Me

I love Jesus, my husband and caffeine. The order of these can change depending on how tired I am. When my two daughters, stepson, and 4 grandchildren get to be too much, I practice yoga. God graciously allows me to share our adventures, victories and flub-ups from my laptop. May He be glorified here.
