And now for this week’s verse:
What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ.
Philippians 3:8 NASB
My Prayer:
If needed, replace the pronouns with the appropriate ones for the person or people that you are praying for.
If you are reading this, I am praying for you. And don’t forget to share this on social media or with a friend who could benefit. It would mean so much to me. If you don’t want to miss a Praying God’s Word Wednesday, subscribe over on the right hand side of this page.
Lauren, I want to tell you what a beautiful prayer (and I do) but as I type, I know it is God’s Word we are praying. And the power that comes through praying His Word is beyond my ordinary prayers. Will you pray with me as I am readying to close on the sale of my East TX home on 9/10 and moving to Western CO to be near family. For thoroughness in all the befores I am currently doing, safe travels as I will be driving with my cat, and her only, plus the peace of God over all. Thank you, my sister.
Linda, I am praying for all your move entails right now. Thank you for entrusting me with this.
I, too, want nothing in my life to be ahead of Christ.
Please pray for me as I’m now finished with writing my book and am wading into the waters of getting it published. It all seems overwhelming! But my book is about redemption being available for everyone and I feel it is an important message.
Such an important message, Jerralea! Congrats on your obedience to God in getting it written. I will pray now for the details coming together. Pulling for you!
Praying with you, Lauren, for us to all to have nothing ahead of Jesus in our lives.
If you would pray for safety for all our teachers and students as they get ready to return to school here in Massachusetts. Much appreciated!
Joanne, I have been praying for the students and teachers here so I will add Massachusetts! Thank you for praying with me.
20 weeks now. Thank you for sharing your weekly scriptures!
Thank you for praying with me!
Praying for bravery, courage, and trust that God will help me to remove those things in my life that need removing – behaviors, thoughts, things. Open my eyes to what I do not see or have so chosen to not see I believe they are not there.
Congratulations on Week 20, Lauren!
What a great prayer, Maryleigh!
What a beautiful post…I am praying with you and for you!! Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and letting me know that you did by leaving such a sweet comment!!
Hugs
Deb
Thank you, Debbie.
Wow, it’s been 20 weeks?! I’ve loved these weekly posts, Lauren. So many times, they’ve spoken just the words I needed to pray for the situation I was in. My son is really struggling right now. These prayers and verses you share each week are so perfect (in fact he read this week’s verse). Thank you.
Thank you so much for letting me know. Only God! And I’m saying a prayer for your son right now too.
Praying this for myself and over dear ones this morning. Thank you , Lauren.
Blessings,
Tammy
Thank you for praying with me, Tammy.
