Praying God’s Word Wednesday #25

September 22, 2021 by Lauren 6 Comments

A loved one I regularly send scripture prayers to, blessed me this week.  She texted a passage and prayer to me and I asked permission to share it with you all.  So for a nice change of pace, here is something Stacey Cartlidge, LPC prayed over me.  I hope it blesses you too.

…for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us.  They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead – Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.  1 Thessalonians 1:9-10

Prayer:

I can’t tell you how much it means to have praying friends and I’m asking God to provide one to each and every one of you.

Replace the pronouns with the appropriate ones for the person (or yourself) that you are praying for.

Praying for you in this.  And don’t forget to share this on social media or with a friend who could benefit.  It would mean so much to me.  And if you don’t want to miss a Praying God’s Word Wednesday, subscribe over on the right hand side of this page.

Lauren, to keep our faces turned from idols is the challenge; and not pick up new ones along the way. Thank you for sharing this Scripture and prayer!

About Me

I love Jesus, my husband and caffeine. The order of these can change depending on how tired I am. When my two daughters, stepson, and 4 grandchildren get to be too much, I practice yoga. God graciously allows me to share our adventures, victories and flub-ups from my laptop. May He be glorified here.
