1 John 5:14" width="300" height="300" />Nothing in my life is more important and life-changing to me than prayer. Reading God’s Word is a very close second. And when I put the two together? I get an overflow of blessing. My spiritual life and relationship with God got a huge face lift when I made scripture prayer a regular practice. I want this for you and others in my life too. That’s why I’m praying 1 John 5:14 over a friend today.
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”
1 John 5:14
What better way to have confidence when we pray than when we pray God’s Words back to him! And sometimes, I pray the scriptures almost word for word. Like this: “I ask that _____ would have confidence in approaching you. That she would ask all things in accordance to your will and she would know that you hear her, God.” Or sometimes I put my own spin on the words to expand the prayer – with original intent always in mind.

Replace the pronouns with the appropriate ones for the person (or yourself) that you are praying for.
Praying for you in this. And don’t forget to share on social media or with a friend who could benefit. It would mean so much to me. And if you don’t want to miss a Praying God’s Word Wednesday, subscribe over on the right hand side of this page.
