Welcome back to praying God’s Word on Wednesday! Our verse today, Psalm 33:22, is already a prayer. Feel free to read it to God verbatim if the Spirit leads. I’m also going to retool it a bit to pray for someone specifically.
May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you. NIV
The verse itself is short and sweet. The Believer’s Bible Commentary says that the psalmist’s prayer is simply to “ask that they [God’s people] might continue to bask in the sunshine of His steadfast love as they continue to depend on Him alone.”
And yet we know that He triumphs over everything and everyone else in the end. So my petition for a loved one today is this:
Replace the pronouns with the appropriate ones for the person (or yourself) that you are praying for.
If you are reading this, I am praying for you. And don’t forget to share this on social media or with a friend who could benefit. It would mean so much to me. If you don’t want to miss a Praying God’s Word Wednesday, subscribe over on the right hand side of this page.
